Virginia Lee O’Connor, 73 passed away on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 from a short illness with her family by her side.

She was born, August 6, 1944 in Santa Cruz, Calif. and lived there for 12 years until her family moved to Northern California. She then met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) O’Connor and they moved to King City and started their family. She was a stay at home mom until her children were in school and went to work for Santa Lucia School for 32 years. She retired to spend time with her husband of 45 years at the family ranch. She missed working with kids and went to work at Bitterwater Tully School for 7 years.

Virginia loved to write poems about family and friends. She took up painting and loved to go to arts and crafts shows. She also loved traveling to Northern California to see family and her best friend since grammar school, Brenda Turner, who was there by her side until the end.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert O’Connor; her father, Frank Wall of Rio Dell and brother, Donald Hughes of Boerne, Texas.

Virginia leaves behind her children, David and Cynnie O’Connor, Tressy and Robert Vanetti and four grandchildren, Sami, Brysan, Shane and Kassie O’Connor; her mother, Helen Wall; sisters, Bonnie Norman and Alice Wall; brothers, Bob, David and Asa Wall; two sister-in-law’s, Irene Hill and Myrna Tatom and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia’s wishes were to have private services.
