KING CITY — A 22-year-old King City man was found dead from a gunshot wound Friday morning inside a parked vehicle on Jayne Street, according to the King City Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a possible gunshot victim at 450 Jayne St. on Feb. 16 at about 6:35 a.m. There they found the victim — identified as Juan Manuel Ceja, 22, of King City — deceased in a parked vehicle. Ceja “died as a result of a gunshot wound,” police said.

The Major Crimes Unit, a collaboration between the King City and Greenfield police departments, is leading the investigation.

Police are asking for the public’s help in providing information about any suspicious activity observed in the 400 block of Pearl Street between the hours of 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, and 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16.
