KING CITY — Due to excessive heat conditions predicted for the next two days, the City of King will be sponsoring a “cooling center” to provide relief for residents impacted by the hot weather.

The cooling center will be located at the city’s Recreation Center at 401 Division St. and will be open from 12 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, and Saturday, Sept. 2. The facility will be air conditioned and cold water will be available.

The public is welcome, and there is no cost.
