SOUTH COUNTY — While investigating possible animal cruelty to a dog over the weekend, Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies from the South County Patrol Division contacted Jesse Lillibridge.

While talking to Lillibridge about the suspected animal cruelty, deputies discovered Lillibridge was in possession of about 14 grams of cocaine, 4.3 grams of marijuana, more than 1,300 pills of Adderall, about 100 pills of Ecstasy, 22.6 grams of mushrooms, four Xanax pills, 56.2 grams of an edible marijuana product and more than $6,800 in cash.

Lillibridge was also in possession of 116.4 grams of an unknown substance, which is suspected of being an illegal synthetic drug and is being tested by the Sheriff’s Crime Lab.

He was arrested and taken to Monterey County Jail on numerous drug-related charges.

None of the animals were injured and have since been turned over to Monterey County Animal Control.
