Parade draws a crowd

Brock Hill/South County Newspapers - This fire truck was decked out for the annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Friday in King City.

KING CITY — On Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m., the King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture’s 14th annual Lighted Christmas Parade began.

Though the streets had been flooded just hours earlier, the rain had died down and the streets remained mostly dry. People anxiously lined the streets by the hundreds awaiting the parade. A rogue raindrop fell from time to time, leaving the crowd wondering if another onslaught of rain was soon approaching.

But the rain held off and the parade began.
