KING CITY — With improvements to King City’s parks and recreation much in need, the city council has taken the first few steps to ensure things get done by launching a capital campaign.
With King City Recreation adding its new member in Mike LeBarre, and a new recreation coordinator, the city council decided to approve the request for the capital campaign for the parks and recreation department.

The city approved of the capital campaign being a nonprofit 501 (c)(3). City manager Michael Powers said that it allowed some separation between the city and the organization.
