KING CITY — A police chase through the streets and freeways of King City led to the arrest of a man who police said has six convictions for driving under the influence in the last 10 years.
It started when officers initiated a traffic stop at Broadway Street and San Lorenzo Avenue at 9:39 p.m. Nov. 17 for a truck driving on the wrong side of the road. An officer made contact with Robert Holguin, 46, of Sacramento, who came out of his truck and was aggressive toward the officer. The officer told him to get back in his truck, and he did so, and then fired up the truck and took off.
He got onto Highway 101 at Canal Street and headed southbound before getting off at First Street, where Monterey County Sheriff’s Department officers joined in the chase.
The chase went down First Street and Division Street, before ending at San Lorenzo Avenue and Pearl Street.
