LOCKWOOD — Land donated by the Patterson family off Jolon Road is planned to be used as a museum and fire department.
Lester Patterson donated 10 acres of land for a museum designated the Nacitone Regional Interpretive Center and three acres for a SoMoCo Rural Fire station. The land itself is about two miles south of the Lockwood Store on Jolon Road.
“This project has been 13 years in the works,” land donor Patterson said. “My dad had been talking about it to me and my cousins.”
Patterson has been working with the county to ensure the museum is built, but he said that is has been a very slow process. ...
