Hermina M. Frederick, 96, of Greenfield, passed away, surrounded by family, Sunday, November 4, 2012.
Mrs. Frederick was born April 28, 1916 in Biwabik, Minn. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis and worked for General Mills, where she eventually became the private secretary for the original Betty Crocker. She married Harry Frederick in 1944. Her husband and family moved to various parts of the U.S. while Harry served in the U.S. military. In 1976, she retired and would ultimately settle in Greenfield in 2007. She greatly enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and attending church functions.
She is survived by her children, Allen Frederick of Oceanside, Virginia Gagliani of Greenfield, and MaryEllen Snee of Liverpool, N.Y.; grandchildren, Vicki Runyan, Keith Runyan, Jennifer Snee Holland, Billy Snee and Joelle Feinberg; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella Servatka of Minneapolis. She was precedd in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and her husband, Harry, in 1986.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Watertown, S.D.
