Strategic plan in process for Monterey County Free Libraries

unty Free Libraries are working on their strategic plan that seeks to align their goals to those of the community.

“The strategic plan helps us identify what our goals should be,” said County Library Director Jayanti Addleman. “They help us evaluate what our purpose is and what to focus on according to the wishes of the community.”

The strategic plan uses input form the community to access where the library stands today and what to work on in the future. It determines the strengths and abilities and also what the library system is not doing so well at. “We try to look at things critically and what to do in a substantial way with the resources we have.” ...
