Massa Vineyard hosts fundraiser for children’s end-of-life services

ARROYO SECO - To raise funds for children’s end-of-life services, Massa Vineyard will host Hospice Foundation’s Southern Comfort, South County Keeps Hospice Care at Home, a savory barbecue with live and silent auctions, on Oct. 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public is invited.

This will be the third time that Hospice Foundation board member Laurie Massa and her husband Bill have hosted Southern Comfort, which attracts some 300 supporters from throughout the Salinas Valley and beyond. The 2008 and 2010 events sold out and in total raised $244,000.

Admission varies, with either per-person or couple's fees, and the proceeds to benefit end-of-life programs and services that serve terminally ill children, and their families, in South County.
