Bruins and Mustangs place at Earlybird Invitational

SALINAS - Senior Randy Sosa and his freshman sister Jocelyn Sosa were medal winners for the Greenfield High School cross country team at the Condor Earlybird Invitational Cross Country Meet last Saturday at Toro Park in Salinas.

The meet featured 2,000 runners and 80 schools, representing eight California Interscholastic Federation sections. Randy Sosa placed seventh overall in the senior boys race, finishing the 3.1-mile course in a time of 16:01. Jocelyn Sosa made her high school running debut, placing sixth in the freshman girls race with a time of 20:49.

“Randy had a chance to run against some of the best runners in Northern California today,” said Greenfield Head Coach Angel Villagomez.
