KING CITY — Girls Inc. of the Central Coast is working on expanding into King City.
The program, started in 1999, aims to empower girls in middle and high school to expand their horizons.
“It gives the girls an opportunity to understand what choices they have for going to college, and what career opportunities they have,” said director Patty Hernandez. “It’s an opportunity to learn how to set goals, and what classes they need to take to be successful and go off to college. It’s an opportunity for them to start thinking outside their box.”
