Jennie Binsacca

Posted: Thursday, Feb 14th, 2013

Jennie Marie Binsacca, 81, of Soledad passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 3, 2013 after courageously living with cancer. Her beauty and loving heart could not be blurred by any disease.

She was born in Arkansas to Arthur and Hazel Swank on November 5, 1931. She was a graduate of Gonzales High School Class of 1949 and later graduated from Hartnell College in 1951. Jennie married the love of her life, William D. Binsacca, on June 15, 1952, and they shared 49 beautiful years together.

She was a secretary at the Soledad Prison for many years before going to work for TNT Insurance. She put in endless hours of book keeping for Binsacca Construction over the last 12 years. She did volunteer work for Mee Memorial Hospital and The Salinas Valley Fair.

Jennie was actively involved in Silver Kings and Queens and was a member of Calvary Chapel in Salinas. She loved to travel and see different parts of the world. Jennie was a sensational cook and was well known for her delicious home cooked meals. She loved gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. She lived a beautiful life and was loved by all who knew her. Everywhere she went she sparkled and had the most beautiful pink lipstick smile. Her grandchildren admired her and loved being in her presence. Jennie had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will live on in all who she has touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hazel Swank; and husband, William David Binsacca.

Jennie is survived by her daughter, Jill McCarthy (Tim) of Citrus Heights; son, Jeff Binsacca (Diana) of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Meghan, Kimberly, Matthew, Vanessa and Bradley; and one great grandson, Tanner David.

At her request no services will be held.

Memorial donations can be made to Calvary Chapel, 226 Capitol St., Salinas, or to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements by Struve and Laporte Funeral Home.
