Manuel Romo

Manuel B. Romo died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Natividad Hospital in Salinas.

Manuel attended King City High School until he was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam. When he returned, he worked in agriculture throughout the Salinas Valley. Manuel then married and divorced Joan Romo, with whom he stayed friends. He then remarried. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Romo; children, Rosalinda Machuca, Domenic Romo, Manuel Romo, Evelyn Romo, Marcos Romo, Jackie Mojica, Karla Villasenor; and eight grandchildren. Manuel also helped raise his brother- and sisters-in-law after the death of their mother. He is also survived by Rickey Segobia, June Haro, Judy Segobia, Joyce Macias, and his brothers, Danny, Lewy, sisters Clara, Della and Sylvia, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed for his kindness and quiet sense of humor.
