Obituary: Luisa Sanchez

Luisa G. Sanchez, 86, of Greenfield passed away at home, surrounded by family, Sunday, November 4, 2012.

Luisa was born February 3, 1926 in Guanajuato, Mexico, and had been a resident of Monterey County since 1974. She greatly enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking care of her pet parakeets, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her 11 children, Medardo (Maria) Sanchez, Victoria (Abel) Espinosa, Fulgencio (Josefina) Sanchez, Federico (Olga) Sanchez, Jesus (Juana) Sanchez, Elena (Juventino) Diaz, Teresa Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, Marta (Javier) Jimenez, Ricardo (Marta) Sanchez, Fernando (Irma) Sanchez; 47 grandchildren, and 59 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Federico Sanchez, in 1994.

Visitation took place November 9, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield. A rosary was held November 9 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a funeral Mass was held Saturday, November 10 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Burial was at Greenfield Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Woodyard Funeral Home.
