Francisco Martinez Rojas, 75, of King City passed away February 6, 2013, at his home with his family at his side. Born January 23, 1938, he came to the United States in 1978 in search of a better life.
He has worked in agriculture from 1978 to 2003, when he finally retired. His past employments include working for Anthony Farms; Mustang Produce and Rusty Cauley; foreman for Domquez Farms; and last for Rava Ranches where he pruned and handled gardening duties and landscaping.
Mr. Martinez Rojas married Enemecia Ortega February 2, 1961; together they had nine children. He worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed visiting with friends, watching soccer and playing cards. He always pushed his children to work. Friends could always count on his help. He was an honest man. His word was golden. He loved to joke and always enjoyed a good laugh. He never let anything get him down. Even in his final days, when asked how he was doing, he would reply everything is OK. He always considered his problems to be minimal.
Mr. Martinez Rojas is survived by his wife, Enemecia; sons, Eliseo Martinez, Sergio (Antonia) Martinez, Ramon (Soledad) Martinez, Lugo Martinez, Filimon Martinez; daughters, Guadalupe (Fernando) Martinez, Guillermina (Ruben) Martinez, Leticia (Cornelio) Martinez, Amelia (Ruben) Martinez; 28 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Luis, Crecencio, Antonio, Lino, Benito and Miguel; sisters, Antonio, Julia and Maria. He is preceded in death his brother, Juan, and sister, Josefina.
A rosary service was held, Friday, February 8, 2013 followed by a funeral Mass Saturday, February 9, 2013. All services were held at St. Johnís Catholic Church, King City.
