Maria “Cuca” Rosales, 82, of King City passed away peacefully Friday, January 18, 2013, in San Jose surrounded by her family. She was born July 4, 1931, in Zacatecas, Mexico. She was a Monterey County resident for 36 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Mercado and Maria Espinoza, and son Jose “Guero” Rosales.
She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Manuel Rosales; seven daughters, Eloisa (Margarito) Garcia, Celia Rosales, Juana (Alvino) Martinez, Esther (Napoleon) Miranda, Josefina Rosales, Laura Rosales, Brenda Louviere; three sons, Manuel Rosales, Refugio (Susie) Rosales, Mario Rosales, 40 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was a daughter of Christ and attended Christian Community Church. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones and friends.
Service was held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Christian Community Church.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Christian Community Church.
Burial to follow at King City Cemetery.
