David Borbon, Sr., a longtime resident of Monterey County, lost his short battle with throat cancer, on December 13, 2012. in Tracy, Calif., with his girlfriend, Juanita, by his side.
He was born on September 11, 1952. He spent most of his adult life in Monterey County; he later moved to Tracy, where he worked for Orchard Supply as a forklift driver until he became ill.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rosie Borbon; brothers, Ralph and Nicolas Borbon; sister, Ernestine Borbon; and nephews, Paul Borbon and Richard Soria.
He leaves a son, David Borbon, Jr; daughter, Antonio Madrigal (Mario); his precious grandchildren, Mario Jr., Isaiah and Savannah Madrigal, Dezrae, David Jr. and JoJo Borbon and Destiny Valles. David also leaves behind brothers, Roy Borbon, Sr., of Tracy, Salvador Borbon of North Carolina, Carlos Borbon, Sr., (Carol) of San Jose, Eddie Borbon (Beverly) of San Jose, Tomas Borbon (Pat) of North Carolina; sisters, Sylvia Rodriguez (Rufino) of Soledad, Rachel Marin (Phil) of San Jose and Rose Borbon of San Jose; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
David loved spending time with his family and especially his grandbabies, whom he loved with all his heart.
He also enjoyed fishing and watching Raider football on Sundays, and he lived him some Johnny Cash.
He will be truly missed.
