Ronald Phillip Tirado, 62, longtime resident of King City, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Ron was born in Salinas on August 30, 1950. He grew up in King City and graduated from King City High School in 1968, where he participated in track and field. His hobbies included running, bicycling, gardening and playing softball. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan.
Ron worked as a grocery and produce clerk for Safeway and retired after 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a past member of the King City Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Tirado; children, Phillip (Tabitha) Tirado and Lisa (Allen) Davis; grandchildren, Ava Tirado, Carlo Tirado and Jordan Davis; bothers, Fidel Tirado and David (Margie) Tirado. He is preceded in death by his parents.
