SAN FRANCISCO - A long bus ride to San Francisco ended with a 47-8 setback for the Gonzales Spartans last Saturday against host Galileo Academy of Science and Technology.
The Galileo Lions (formerly Galileo High School) were led by running back Ronzel Fox and his eight carries for 163 yards and four touchdowns.
“We matched up with them as far as the number of players and size, but they were just a pretty good team,” said Gonzales Head Coach Kevin Bonincontri. “They (Lions) were real quick out of the backfield and produced most of their yards on the ground.”
