Holiday music and community tree lighting ceremony

Deborah Mills/South County Newspapers - The crowd gathers in front of King City Glass to watch the tree on top of Rabobank being lit.

KING CITY — The annual holiday music program took place Sunday at the King City High School Auditorium, and community members filled the room.

After the music event, residents proceeded up Broadway to King City Glass and True Value Hardware to watch the illumination of the tree on top of Rabobank.

This community event is in conjunction with the Monterey County Hospice Foundation Trees of Life campaign. Individuals donate for a tribute light which is on the tree. The light represents honor a life and to remember a life.
