Fireworks foundation seeks new members

KING CITY — The King City Fireworks Foundation is in need of new members.

“I started the foundation two years ago,” said former foundation chair Jessica Potts. “We ran for two years and my office limit was two years.”

“No one has stepped up to continue it,” said Potts of the foundation. She explained that there is no limit to how many people can be on the foundation. “It takes a lot of fundraising. The minimum fireworks show is $18,000, and the normal show that we’ve been able to do the past two years has been $20,000.”
