Monterey County Area Agency on Aging (AAA)

MONTEREY COUNTY — A presentation on priority services for seniors and an opportunity for the public to make comments on the 2022-23 Area Plan Update will take place at the June 23 meeting of the Monterey County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Advisory Council.

One of the requirements of the AAA is to evaluate the needs of local seniors and develop a plan to meet those needs. Each year, the plan is updated with community input on what services are most needed.

The pandemic brought to light significant issues faced by older adults and many of those issues still remain. This is an opportunity for the Advisory Council to hear from seniors and family members about what services are most needed for older residents so that the agency can prioritize resources and funding.

A copy of the current draft report is available at bit.ly/3zDzm8E.

The public hearing is set for Thursday, June 23, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom at this link.
