KING CITY -- Eighth-grade students from Chalone Peaks Middle School took part in the school's Civil War reenactment last Friday, a tradition which has been going on for 13 years. The reenactment at San Lorenzo Park saw students taking part in the First Battle of Bull Run (First Manassas) and Pickett's Charge, and setting up camp the day before.

KING CITY -- King City Police Chief Nick Baldiviez is out of the office for the rest of the month, and Captain Bruce Miller is acting chief during Baldiviez's absence.

KING CITY -- Residents of King City packed the King City Council Chambers for a public hearing on upcoming water rate hikes, despite the meeting taking place at 2 p.m. on a Monday.
